Equifax re-investigation on a paid collection

I was at 700 with experian, now I am at 660 due to a collection item recently being applied to the account.  I failed to negotiate that when the collection was paid to clear the negative information from my file with the credit aggencies.

With the recent letter I sent to Equifax explaining that the item was closed as they had it as 120 days or more than 4 payment past due  they have given me the following message

Rate/Status: At least 120 days or more than four payments past due
Narrative Code 1 changed to: CONSUMER DISPUTES - REINVESTIGATION IN PROGRESS
Narrative Code 2 changed to: COLLECTION ACCOUNT

Will this possibly increase my LOW score.

Also transunion have this collection maked as Automated account in the status section - what does that mean....

Thanks in advance..

Richard

Re: Equifax re-investigation on a paid collection

There are some things FICO will not calculate while a TL is in dispute.
Collections and public records do not apply and are never exempt while in dispute. Smiley Happy

With this in mind would it be possible to dispute an item that is valid when your credit is being pulled for a mortgage to temporarily increase your score? \

I have a collection paid several years ago and is still dragging my score down.
