When I pay my rent online through https://payyourrent.com/residents/
Before I make the payment every month with my debt card, the screen asks me if I want to have my rent reported to Experian.
I have paid on time since Nov 2008 when I moved into my apartment.
Does anyone know how this tradeline looks and if it could help me or hurt my CR ?

Anything positive you can tack on your credit report isn't going to hurt; at worst it will be discounted under the scoring model, and at best it may help with the new scores which are being released though I think today it'll mostly be discounted.
If it were me, personally, I would've wanted my 10 year rental history reported if I could've; not quite sure how the line looks as it's probably a new type like the utilities that are reporting now, but I'd put it on there.
