Had 2 loans on my report that I had a while....they just said "installment." Then one day I got the bank to change their status to "mortgage".....and bam 30 points up on EX08.
Today 1 of the 2 mortgages updated to paid off and closed. Dropped 9 points......
I know people say that FICO doesn't see the difference between installment and mortgage.....but that has not been my experience with Experian.
