Extended Fraud Alert on my Credit report preventing pre approval offers?

I don't get ANY pre-approval offers in the mail. Prime or Subprime, ever, for anything. Not even car loans!!!

Is my Extended fraud alert a possible reason?

I have nothing negative on my report.

Just little history, and kinda high balances.

YES!!  When you have a fraud alert new creditors can not do a promotional pull.

Creditors that you are in good standing with can pull them   but some CCC will not offer anything if there is a fraud alert on the CR.

I believe that all the offers that we use to get are over, at least for now.

LOL thats great, ugh. I wish i didnt need this fraud alert on here. They always give some lame excuse to deny me. 

so those pre approval offers arent even there anyways due to the market?

Yes, a seven year extended fraud alert has blocked you from promotional pulls.

This does NOT mean that you cannot apply for and be approved for credit.  I was a victim of ID theft in 1999, and had the extended fraud alerts on all three bureaus.  If you apply for credit, the creditor will call you to verify the application and then process it.  You cannot apply for "instant" credit with the fraud alerts - store cards at the checkout counter. 

You CANNOT be denied because you have a fraud alert.  I applied for and was approved for my mortgage, car loan, and two credit cards while I had the extended fraud alerts.  Not a problem.
