FCNB is Not Playing Fair

Hello all

FCNB is totally not playing fair with me

I have a chargeoff from them from 5/05 , with me being 150 days late prioer to that,
had a hard time with moneys.

On May of 2006, I had settle for less. Paid the about 60% amount due.

They still reported to date CO every 30 days

I wrought them a GW letter and they Stated 0 balance due, account paid on july /07
That is not correct is should of stated that from last year
and that did hurt my Fico score, cuase it started a new clock?

do i have a good aroument to tell them to delete the TL?
and what laws can i quote them on

thank you all

Re: FCNB is Not Playing Fair

Legally, they can still report the charge-off...the correct notation is "settled," however, not "unpaid." If they are reporting it as unpaid, then dispute it. You can try a GW letter to get them to remove it--however, the odds are low. Rather than look back, focus on moving forward.

Re: FCNB is Not Playing Fair

Have a total of 14 TL
5 are in good standing( 0ne was a autoloan with no days late for 48 months
9 are bad ( 2 of them have only 1, 30day late)( did send them a GW last month)
also recieved delta amex and hhoners but not yet on cras
so i would have 7 good in standing wen amex reports , (9 good if GW works good)

Re: FCNB is Not Playing Fair

Then your prognosis for recovery is good. Just keep your utilization down...ideally you should have at least three or four revolving tradelines in active use, at under 10% utilization. Keep on keeping on, and I guarantee you your FICO will begin to rise by the end of the year, and increase significantly in 2008.
