Ok, so in an effort to get a loan for school...I've paid off all 4 credit cards (totalling about $1,900 in credit limits), to get my scores to jump. The only thing aside from a bankrupcy from 10 years ago was my debt to credit ratio. Almost all 4 cards were maxed or near maxed. So, by paying them off my scores should jump pretty hefty. My Capital One card seems to update monthly as expected on the Experian report. However, my 2 First Premier Bank cards (which were paid off by 5/28 - and update on the 15th and 28th), have not changed on my experian report since April/May. Both accounts SHOULD be showing a 0 balance and therefore adjusting my debt/credit ratio accordingly. However, Experian has not updated this since the payoffs which the credit card company sent thier update the 15th and 28th of last month. Whats taking so long?
