FICO Start Date

Hello all,

I'm relatively young in the credit world. I'm sitting at 5 months.

I opened a loan around the end of july (~28), however its reporting to equifax as opened 7/1/14. The same exact thing is happening on my experian report with a Wells Fargo card. showing start date of 7/1/14. My question is, will this factor into when i can get my first fico score? as in, on Jan 1, 2015, will i be able to get a score on those two bureaus, or will i have to wait until feb 1?

Re: FICO Start Date

I was told by a FICO rep to give it 7 months to be on the safe side. That would mean an extra month (at least thats what it sounds to me) What I did was get a Discover Secured (Which will update once FICO updates) and a walmart card (which would most likely do the same) That way I can sign up for MyFico scores right after.
