For those with scores of 760 and above, how long did it take to reach this? AAOA I imagine 0 to 1 inq's
needed.
13 years of history.
6 years AAOA.
2 inquiries currently.

IIRC....
EQ FICO 777. No inquiries. 10 to 13 yrs in history (leaning towards 13). AAoA of 4 years. 6.5 yr old redeemed repo reporting with 2 30-day and 2 60-day lates. However, that had a dispute comment from all the GWing so it shouldn't have counted. No new credit in over a year at that point. Util at 1%.
Mine went below 760 after apping and getting 12 cards in 14 months (in two spurts) and refii-ing the home and car.
It went from 730s to 800 in 15 months after that.dip. It climbed pretty quickly back over 760-780 as the first wave of CC apps aged a year.
AAoA ~ 3.5
History: 20 yrs
Never ever late
Car loan currently owe under 50% (1.74%)
Mortgage refied, so no 2nd now, HARP 3.375%, 15 yr
8-12 CC accounts with balances, paid off each month
Available credit almost 2x income <--- that part makes me smh - but it is what it is. Cash Back is nice.

As you can see the numbers are varied but here are some common numbers of FICO High Achievers. I got this information from my credit pull of 10/21.
* About 96% of FICO High Achievers have not missed payments at all. But of those who do, the missed payment happened nearly 4 years ago, on average. I have none.
* Utilization on average is less than 6%. Mine is consistently 1%.
* On average FICO High Achievers opened their oldest account 25 years ago. 26 years for me.
* Most FICO High Achievers have an AAoA of 11 years or more. Mine is nine years.
* FICO High Achievers have an average of 3 credit accounts carrying a balance. I usually have only three.
For me i think the two most important things for an nice credt score is an pretty high AAOA around the 5+ years range, and having clean payment history with no baddies reporting at all.
6 months after I got my first card.
In real sense I am at 760+ stage only with TU and for me AAoA is about 1 year 2 months and my oldest account is about 2 year 9 months. I have always PIF. My utilizations have usually been below 5%. Also, never missed a payment.
Like another poster said, things very depending on the overall credit profile. I am just recovering from an app spree of 5 new CCs, 1 car re-fi and 1 new car loan, but I expect to recover fully within the next few months, and then some. So, I will put what I was back when I had 760+ scores and what I am now as I recover.
Because I like the format, I will use steal it...

* Utilization on average is less than 6%. Mine is just above 50% now (was above 80%, mostly due to a HELOC that my x-wife is paying for)
* On average FICO High Achievers opened their oldest account 25 years ago. 17 years ago for me
* Most FICO High Achievers have an AAoA of 11 years or more. Mine is 6 years (was 9 years)
* FICO High Achievers have an average of 3 credit accounts carrying a balance. I have 8 now (had only 3 before)
My credit history is very thick on installment loans, with a mortgage, past car loans and vacation property loans. I expect as I get my util down below 30% over the next 6 months, my score will raise into the 800s.
