Fingerhut reporting as charged off but debt paid off in 2011???

Hi, Ive been going through my credit report and trying to clean up some of the low hangning fruit. Fingerhut was charged off and after contacting them was told Jefferson Capital Systems Owns the debt. After calling Jefferson, I was informed that the debt was paid back in June of 2011. Can Fingerhut still report it as charged off? How do i fix this? Im new to this so have no idea on how to go about this kind of stuff. Thanks

They can still report as a CO but it has to state it is a paid CO, 0 balance.
