Ford Motor Credit

My name is included on a loan from Ford that was not paid timely by my ex wife. According to Ford there came a point back in 2005 when they turned it over to their collections department. It was eventuall paid off by the ex. Is there anything I can do to lessen the impact of this on my credit report? Is it possible to convince Ford to give me a break? This problem only exist on Experian & not Equifax nor do I believe Transunion.

Sorry I don't have any advice other than to plead to Ford.

Experian treats their investigations "locked in stone" after a verification.

Please forgive my ignorance but I just started using this sight and have seen the term GW a number of times. May I ask what this means?

goodwill letter, basically asking them to remove the late from report via goodwill
