Further Manual Review--Transunion Dispute

So, I logged into my transunion account today, and a derog I had disputed was gone! :smileyhappy: But my score is the same...:smileysad:  So, I logged into the dispute status site and the message says, "We've decided that your dispute needs further manual review. You will receive a letter with further instructions."

So, what does that mean? Is the derog really not deleted?  Did they just take it off for a second to tease me?!

Re: Further Manual Review--Transunion Dispute

I will start by saying I have never seen that comment in any dispute I have done so I don't know how to interpret it. If the derogatory info is not showing on a credit report you received it would be the same for anyone else receiving your report at the same time. I'm not surprised (based on personal experience) that you did not see a change in score. I am going to hazard a guess that there is still negative information contained in the report. A lot of people have reported that until the report is completely clear of derogatory information that they do not see a significant score change. And if the deleted information was not the most recent derogatory information there is often no change at all.

My EQ report is clean. My TU and EX both have a 6+ year old small and paid collection account and there is a significant score difference between my TU and EQ FICO scores.:smileymad:

Best financial advice I ever got: "Just imagine what an adult would do and do that."

Starting Score: 500's
Current Score: EQ 701 (FICO) TU 721 (FICO) EX 715 (Quizzle)
Goal Score: 760 ALL

Thank you for responding. I had just paid the collection and I saw a point increase from doing that. So, I was hoping a deletion would also have an effect. But I guess you can't have the best of both worlds. Thankfully, TU was the only CB showing negative info, so now I just have to wait for a couple of late payments to fall off in a couple of years.

This is your FAKO score from Transunion, correct ?    FICO doesn't give you points for paying a collection, it dings your score equally either as paid or unpaid.

Re: Further Manual Review--Transunion Dispute

If I bought my score directly from Transunion, it's a FAKO, correct? That's so weird. You'd think people would use the models more from the CBAs than the FICO, which is just MYFIco.com, correct?

And btw, the collection was deleted from my report. Yay! I received a letter today.

Yes, that is correct ~ TU and EX have both stopped selling FICO scores directly to consumers.   However Equifax will still sell you a FICO score.    The CRAs make a lot more money from selling their own FAKO scores, so they market them rather than FICO scores.

Congats on getting the collection deleted, that's great !!   :smileyhappy:

Thank you! :smileyhappy: Now if I can get those B of A lates off my CR, I'll be set and have a completely clean credit report (besides 11 new inquiries and 6 older ones).
