I was talking to credit solution with GE and they said they may sell off cards to different bank if they can't find a buyer for all of their cards.

This probably belongs over in General Credit Topics. Anyway, I think the plan for GE is to spin off the entire division, as it's probably too big for a single buyer.

It was reported earlier that GECRB is selling their retail cc's to Synchrony Financial. I believe its later this year

isn't that just a SPin Off of GE? if so they are not really selling to another company its just like creating another company with existing people

Yes, as I understand it Synchrony Financial is the name they're using for their IPO but it's the same organization.
