GW to a DC?

I paid off Convergent Outsourcing earlier this year from a Sprint debt gone-wrong last fall. If I were to write a GW letter to request a removal from my report (one-time issue, credit history is pretty good beyond that), would I write to Convergent or Sprint?

Re: GW to a DC?

You would write the institution that reported the negative information. As far as I know sprint doesn't report, so it's likely the other one. On your credit report it should have the address if the entity that reported the late payment.

If you are seeking removal of a collection, the request is sent to the debt collector.
