Good scores, still no credit

Hey i just open my first and only account in april 2008, I have made six payments all on time and was never late. I check my credit scores today with all 3 reporting credit agencies.....691..691....700, i then tried to apply for credit to get a $1,000 laptop and was denied. Is my credit that bad still. No collection or negative information on report. thats for any help in explaining. Allan

Re: Good scores, still no credit

They probably want to see 6 months of history.  Also, that account may not have shown up on your report for a month or two, so it may read less history than it is.

Thanks for the reply, but it was showing up for a while now, but i guess you may be right about the 6months history. Can't see what else it would be. Oh did i mentioned 6 inquires? That may be a big factor also?
