Goodwilling a Bankruptcy

This is a very very very silly question.. But I have been reading these forums for a long time and I see you can send a goodwill letter to just about anybody and there is a chance that negative items will be removed from the credit reports, but what about a bankruptcy.  Has anyone ever tried to goodwill that? lol

Don't know who you would send that letter to... I guess th CRA, but why stop there??? Holes to China are a pretty good idea too. Would save tons of time on travel.Smiley Happy

Actually, that's NOT such a silly question. Everything on your credit report is fair game for a "goodwill letter"... if, and I say IF, you can find the right person to send it to.

And I'd start with the court that is reporting the BK. Go visit the judge or court clerk personally and try to have a one-on-one meeting with them. Explain your situation, outline it in writing, and see what happens. If the BK is old enough or if you can perhaps illustrate some problems with the original filing, you never know.

It's a long shot, but you'll never know until you try. Be sure to let us know how it goes.
