HOW OFTEN SHOULD WE GET A NEW SCORE

Can someone tell me how often should I be requesting a new FICO score?

Re: HOW OFTEN SHOULD WE GET A NEW SCORE

Well, that's up to you. It's more of a personal choice. I use Score Watch because I am testing things and want to know how each effect changes the score right away. It's good to check your scores before you apply for a mortgage or a car loan. Making sure your credit reports are accurate is good.

Is there any reason why you ask this question? Do you need a better credit score for something specific?

If you are just working on improving your scores it's a personal choice.

Unless you are a credit freak like most of us, or are planning a large purchase, a couple of times a year should suffice.

The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid
