Help, desperate!

I have a letter from the former collection manager of the Utilities Company to clear my report. Date 9/05 for $44.54 and I have paid it back in 2005 and the CRA would not delet it and the CA verified it and correct. A closed/paid/collection acct.  I called the current collection manager and she stated to fax the letter and she would look into and get back with me. I have not heard from the company and I have called twice and left a message and I have not receive a returned call.  What should be my next step?  Should I call and ask for someone over the collection manager?  PLEASE HELP EVERYONE!

Unless they specifically say in the letter to you that they will instruct the CA to delete the TL then it is correct - it's reporting as 'paid'.

Generally, a three year old collection isn't hurting your score that much. How many revolving charge accounts in good standing do you have now? What percentage fo your available revolving credit are you using?

I tried to sending a PFD but did not get a response been about a month ago.  The letter states that they would notify their collection agency to clear my record.

I have two new  revolving accts open 12/07 and 1/08 just open due BK 2006 Discharge 3/07
