I'd wait to finance a car until your scores are well into the 600s. Remember, paying off collections will not help your score. GW the collections you have already paid off to ask for removal.

I have a question for anyone who is willing to help me. I am trying to buy a vehicle and my scores are as follows.....Transunion 565, Equifax 531, Experian 521. I have paid off most of my collections and have only 1900 remaining to pay. I am currently paying $ 300 a month on that. Is it possible to get my score around 620 across the board by next October?? Thanks for any help??
I got a 30,000 truck with my scores being 550 but that was in January. If I was you I would wait it out and just clean up your credit (get those scores up). With the financial crisis the way it is. Banks and auto lenders are tighting their belts. Also you do not want a dealer to just get you into a car because they are trying to get rid of inventory.
