Hi all,   I have a CO for Hsbc Bank Nv Fka Hhlb on my TU...

Hi all,

I have a CO for Hsbc Bank Nv Fka Hhlb on my TU report showing a 0 balance.

date opened Feb. 2002
date of last activity Nov. 2002
Date paid out Nov. 2002
Date Closed Mar 2003

What exactly is "date paid out?"
It does not have an original balance showing.

What would be my first actions to try and get this removed.  Dispute as inaccurate? or a PFD. If I go for a PFD, how do I obtain the charge off balance,so that I can make an offer.

Thanks.

Oh, I just noticed that it says "purchased by another lender" in the description, but I don't remeber getting any CA letters on this.

You may want to DV the CA and then dispute it with the CRA's.

Thanks for the info, but I am not sure that it is with a CA?  I don't recall receiving anything about it going to collections. Is there a way to find out without stirring things up?

I got an co from hsbc also and basically the same thing as you it was sold to a CA Palisades collection. it didn't show up until i disputed the HSBC account and then bam new collection as of july 2007 score dropped 36 points because of it. so if i had it to do over i would of left it alone was already 4 years old.

Is this debt yours? If yes, are you sure there is no balance reporting?

Balance and past due amount both say $ 0. Current status "charged off" and a description saying " Ourchased by another lender.

Thanks for your input, I really appreciate it.

Anyone dealing with Palisades be cautious...they are nasty & underhanded!!!!

Know your state SOL before contacted them and only contact in writting. You must Dv them and tell them no phone calls...everything in writting.  They will call several times a day otherwise.

They will file suit in a heartBeat!!

Also  check & see if they are licensed in your state....they have been sued by several states & lic revolked
