Hmmmm?

I was looking online at the site whogavemecredit.com & in the credit pulls section on creditboards.com & I have a question: How much weight does the state one resides in have on whether they are approved for credit or not? I noticed in my state(IN)a lot of people were rejected for various credit, BUT had GOOD scores, plus no bankruptcy. Does the state carry weight on approvals? I noticed how people in different states with WORSE credit were approved by the SAME creditor. What gives?

Re: Hmmmm?

What were they refused for?   There is alot of factors other than just your score when approvals or denials are handed out.

Re: Hmmmm?

I suppose your state could matter.. but FICO does not include state is residence for calculating a score.

Re: Hmmmm?

It is a bit weird but, there could have been some manual reviews of the people's credit reports and found some collections and charge off's that were still live but old.
