Household Bank - Maxed Number of Accounts

Does anyone know if this is true, that a person can only have a maximum number of TWO credit card accounts with HSBC? I rec'd an invitation to apply for a household platinum, and so I did, and got declined.

Having read through the forums, I tried a reconsideration phone call with their credit department, and that was the reason given as to why i was declined. It is true that I do already have two, an orchard bank, and a best buy.

Anyone with prior experience or knowledge in regards to HSBC's policy?

Actually, HSBC holds lots of my DHs cards - and Orchard is one, too.

they are generous lately with cli to all three lately

I have heard this before.

I have orchard and Best Buy.

In writting it says 2 on their website (householdbank.com) it says 1.
