I'm not sure theres a set answer to that, if the account is legitimately not yours, then dispute, if it is, then don't push your luck. However, if it comes back validated, and its not yours, write a letter and ask for the method of verification. If they can't come up with it, that should take care of the problem.

I have disputed mine over and over and even after I have gotten the frivolous letter I still have disputed. I have been able to get the marks removed even after I have gotten the frivolous letter. The only one that I have ever gotten one from was TU but eventually I cleared it. It all depends on who is processing your request.
