How to determine age of a collection account?

How do you determine the age of a collection?  Is it based off of the DOLA that the CA reports or is it the date it was assigned to the CA.  my example is i have a medical DOLA 11/2005(which is the date of service).  Assigned date to CA per CRA is 04/2007.

Date of service would be DOLA. When it is a service it goes by THAT date. SOL and CRTP goes by this date also. Now if the CRA goes by DOFD it should be the following month.

The dates reported or sold or assigned do not matter!!!!!

SOL can change if your state goes by DOLA. If you make a payment no matter how much it could change the SOL but NOT the CRTP

11/2005 is your DOLA
