I don't understand!? !?

On my credit report I have a Cap1 account showing as an open account.  However when you look at it further it says Account charged off, closed by credit grantor.  Can someone explain this?

Should I dispute with the credit reporting agency, or with Cap1?  I have never disputed anything before this is all new to me.

When I dispute this what should my reason be?  I do know that it was my account, but it should not be an open account if it was closed.
