If you think your baddies are gone for good, they can come back

I had 3 baddies left, was working on my credit daily and checking it daily, last week woke up and My name changed back to a old one. My address changed. And 17 baddies, most have been disputed and deleted returned. I called EQ and they said I had 2 files? I asked them when I payed for them through them was was I only sent one then? They said they are not sure and can't help me. I just got my name and address corrected and one dup baddie removed, they said they can't see if these were removed from my file. I can't believe this happened over night?

17?!  That must have tanked your score!  When you got them removed in the first place, on what grounds were they removed?  Were they inaccurate or legit?

Yes it tanked I am thinking of freezing it.

Sounds like a split file. It can be caused usually by too many soft inquiries. A few cases have been reported where it happened when disputing. Definitely a tough one to fix. If you have your old reports, they can reconstruct it for you. I never went through this, but there are other examples in here of that happening. It may be worth seeing what they did to fix it. Seems like much of the fix was via communication on the phone with EQ.

Prior delinquwncies or derogs reported to your credit file can live forever, and can be reported forever, until the debt is paid.

Debt, and drogs reported to your credit file, have no deletion from credt file inclusion.

They merged them but it still has a lot of old medicals that they will not take off thinking of freezing it as it's my lowest score now. I could freeze it until everything drops off.
