So, 3 years ago I move and transfer my Verizon cable/Internet/phone to new address. Making my final payment on old address for $130, I find out it was not applied to the account a few months later on MyFico reports. Sadly, this was the second such event with Verizon. Having success previously contacting a vice president in fixing the problem, I contacted the same Vp again. She had someone contact me to fix the problem. A year later, the derog was still on my reports. Verizon again promised to remove the entry again. Wanting to app, I checked my reports in October, and the entry was still there...3 years. Later! Verizon duplicated the entry, applying it to both accounts. After four weeks of going back and forth and contacting another vp, finally the entry was removed after threatening lawsuit. More frustrating was the fact that no one at Verizon or Experian understood the credit process be it e-oscar, the impact of verified/updated derogate, or the updating process. I had to nearly Beg for someone to pick up a phone and call to fix the problem without being lazy and simply letting the automated system run it's course.....after failing for t hree years. No common sense or sense of urgency. The lack of concern and awareness over the negative impact on a customers finances regarding scores/rates etc. is shocking.
