Inquires not falling off

Hey Guys,

I have two inquires that were supposed to fall of my EX report last month and they seem to be presisting. The inquiries list 10/14/15 as their removal date, but nothing yet. There is a dispute option, but I've heard nightmares about people disputing inquires. Any suggestions?

Re: Inquires not falling off

Call Experian directly and bring it to their attention. They will ask you for your report number so best purchase a report (if you dont already have one) prior to calling. You should be ok...Experian, imo, is the most consumer friendly. They will delete the inquiries while you are on the phone.

Good luck

Gregg

Re: Inquires not falling off

When I would pull my experian reports through experian, they inquiries that say are supposed to fall off 11-12-15, come off the report the following month.

Wait.  If they're not gone next month then call in.

Re: Inquires not falling off

Experian is known to be the special CRA of the bunch and takes about an extra month or two for them to fall of from my experience with them.   Equifax and TU usually fall off with a fews days when they should.. Experian plays by their own rules

I had one that was supposed to fall off 10/18/15 on EX. It barely came off 2 days ago.

Re: Inquires not falling off

The removal of inquiries at two years is totally an administrative houskeeping decision of the CRAs, and is not controlled under the FCRA or any regulations.

it is not a firm requirment, and should, as suggested, be handled informally.

Re: Inquires not falling off

Isn't Experian British owned? Perhaps their housekeeping timeline is a bit different.

Really nothing to get excited about since the INQs no longer affect scoring - even for credit based insurance scores and VantageScore which appear to consider inquiries for the full 2 years.
