Re: Inquiries affecting my FICO® score

That all depends ... are these hard inquiries (from your applying for credit) or soft inquiries (from promotional offers)?

However, once we figure that out, we won't be able to figure out exactly how much damage the hard inqs are doing.  It is different for people with various credit profiles.

How many are on each report?

Those inquiries are just in EQ except for Cap 1 that shows on every report.

Re: Inquiries affecting my FICO® score

12 of them are in the last 12 months, I would guess that is probably less than 20 points.

I think once you get over 5 or 6 they give up worrying  Smiley Happy

They stay on your report for 2 years, but do not affect score after one year

Re: Inquiries affecting my FICO® score

You are doing better than me:
EQ 16 (1 to be removed by HSBC) - get past October and I'm down to 2
TU 1 (from Cap1 stops counting in July)
EQ 3 (Cap1 stops counting in July) - past September 0

Goal is to keep the bloody thing inquiry free for a year (yea, sure - like that is gonna happen)
