Is anyone ever nervous about sending identity proof in the mail?

Is anyone ever nervous about sending identity proof in the mail? I mean, these credit bureaus and collectors ask for my personal information. But it seems scary to me to send them copies of my DL, SS card, paychecks, and birth certificates. I mean, that everything a person would need to assume another identity.

Doesn't this make anyone else other than me nervous? How the heck do I know that the person at the mail room isn't opening my stuff and scanning it with his laptop and scanner in his car on break!?

I would be, personally. I already have enough problems, I do not need to add identity theft do it. DL would not be too bad. In WA your ssn is not on it, only your birth date.

We are close, I live in Tacoma. I heard about those, they let you into Canada? I haven't decided yet. Since I am military mine does not expire and I don't know if I want to pay the money for it.
