I know that my FICO scores have generally been in the low 800-810s but I haven't ordered a FICO score in a while. However, my Discover Card and my Barclays Card now provide me with my FICO scores. I looked the scores up yesterday and both the Discover and Barclays cards are reporting a FICO score of 842! From what I've read, these are legitimate FICO scores, but a part of me cannot believe I could be only 8 points away from that perfect (and absolutely unattainable) 850. Are these the new FICO 08 scores? Is this the new scoring method used if I were to purchse my scores directly from myFICO?
congrats!!!!
Congratulations! As far as I know they are identical to Fico 08 purchased here! Thanks for sharing!
Congrats,,Awesome...Not sure about the Fico 08 but I know some of the experts will weigh in later...,
I'll be watching to C what they say
Thanks guys. What agency is the Discover FICO score from and what agency is the Barclay FICO score. I'm assuming they're the same one but which one? I don't want to spend $60 to look at the 3 scores since I'm just curious at this point but don't absolutely need the information.
Discover and Barclays are the TU 08 Fico score. It is the same Transunion score available from myfico.
Thanks. I figured as much.

A fantastice score!!
But I have to say that an 850 is possible. There are several of us lately who have obtained that goal. Let us know when you get there.

+1
I saw your scores while doing a search earlier today MarineVietVet (and they're awesome!) so I now know it is possible. If it wasn't for the free FICO scores via my credit cards, I wouldn't have really cared what they were at this point since they have always been above 760 mark. What changed with the 08 scoring and the 04 scoring to make an 850 now possible?
My wife and I are looking at purchasing our "forever" home in 2016 and moving out of our townhouse. It's always been sort of a competition between us to see who could have the higher score (hers is currently 806). At 30 and 34 years old, respectively, I'd say we're doing quite well. Too bad my score will inevitably drop again once we make that larger purchase in 2016.
