Judgement on TransUnion only

Hi all...

So, I'm just starting to get into fixing my credit. I requested a copy of all my reports and scores. I was surprised at them being better then I thought. However, on Transunion I have a judgement that I had no knowledge of. It seems to be a dentist from 10/2003 for $184. Can anyone tell me why its only on Transunion? I moved from CT to NC in August 2002, and this dentist was from CT. (Probably a dumb question, but...) How can they get a judgement without warning me first? What can I do now to make it better, QUICK!

Thanks for all your help!

Re: Judgement on TransUnion only

There is some thing called default judgment. If they send you a notice and you did not attend the hearing, judge can give a default judgment. I am not sure if that is your case. I would start with sending a DV and asking them to provide you a copy of the judgement. Also dispute it with CRA.
