I ran my CR's from all three CRA's in early July. One item negatively impacting my credit score was the following:
You have no recent activity from a non-mortgage installment loan.
Would it make sense for me to use my NFCU LOC for some home improvements I am making and pay it off as I go along to show activity?
Or, since the NFCU is a LOC, I would need to get an installment loan, like a NFCU personal loan?

LOC likely is revolving unless it's a very large limit (maybe 35K or thereabouts); I'd sort it with a secured personal loan personally, I used and recommend Alliant but NFCU might work too but I haven't seen how their payments in advance work.
