Last date of activity on a paid co

I paid a capitalone co back in aug 07, they changed the last date of activity two of my credit reports, but didnt change it on my equifax report. Is it legal for them to change the Dola?

Re: Last date of activity on a paid co

I think i figured it out... Paying old co may change dola but i should be concerned about dofd of the OC correct? So this shouldnt reset the clock and screw me 7 more years correct? If anyone has any suggestions, please to reply Thanks, Chris

Re: Last date of activity on a paid co

Your payment should only affect SOL, not CRTP. Two of the 3 CRAs, if you pull directly from them, will post the estimated date of removal. If that date says 8/2014 (7 yrs from pmt), then the account has been re-aged. I think the two CRAs are EX and TU.

BTW, welcome to the forums.
