Re: Length of credit history?

Unfortunately, this is top secret. It's highly unlikely anyone really knows.

Re: Length of credit history?

around 5 yrs = from not good to good

around 12 yrs= good to very good

15-20yrs=great

Re: Length of credit history?

It is a toss up. It could either be total credit history or average credit history or both. And the formula could vary between the three CRAs.

FYI, for EQ:
8/2/07 - Oldest 10 yrs, no avg. listed (est. around 2.5 yrs) - Good listed for LOCH
4/15/08  - Oldest 11 yrs, 3 mo & avg is 2 yrs - Good listed for LOCH

TU:
8/9/07 - Oldest 10 yrs, no avg. listed - Good listed for LOCH
3/1/08 - Oldest 8 yrs, 7 mo & avg. of 2 yrs - Not Good listed for LOCH

DW's EQ:
8/2/07 - Oldest 14 yrs & avg. 7 years - Very Good for LOCH
4/15/08 - Oldest 11 yrs, 5 mo. ago & avg. is 4 yrs - Good for LOCH

DW's TU:
9/1/07 - Oldest 14 yrs old & avg. 6 yrs old - Very Good for LOCH
4/1/08 - Oldest  10 yrs, 10 mo. & avg. history 3 yrs. - Good for LOCH

Re: Length of credit history?

I have a military star card I got in 1993. In 2003 they found out they listed me in the Navy instead of the Air Force and reissued the card. They closed the other card and transferred the balance to the new one. Now my history starts in 2003, a 10 year difference. Should it not still be 1993?

Hi, I have 1 year credit history(7 mounth average) and listed BAD.
I arrived less than 2 years to USA. My FICO score is 697, no late payment.

Somebody has NOT BAD status with 2-3 years of credit history length?

697 is a good score.......as long as you have no late pays it will continue to go up as the history ages!

History & cc accounts account more toward scores then anything else (except baddies)
