Letter of Validation sent -no reply- next step?

An old mortgage lender from 2001 reported my loan as foreclosed in March 2009, while I am in very good standing with a different lender. (Experian only). The CRA verified the report as 'correct'. Wrote a validation letter to the morgage company and no answer in 30 days. What is the next step?

The old lender 2001.......was this paid off, refied or what in 2001?  Foreclosures are rported under Public Records and can only be deleted by being *vacated*.  It will drop 7 years from the date filed.

The OC letter should have be sent CMRRR.  If they do not answer mail an *ITS* letter next  CMRRR.

Be sure that the reporting is not accurate before sending an ITS.

Yes, that loan went through three more lenders until today and of course, the RF never took place. Now I need to lookup the letter abbreviations you mention ......

Foget letters of validation.

Go to jigsaw, or another similar site, and get the email address of your first lender. Send them an email questioning the accuracy of the information being reported. In a lot of cases, not all, instead of going through the exercise of checking the accuracy of an old, closed account, they'll just delete the entire account .

Then write them a letter directly. Email correspondence is iffy at best.

Re: Letter of Validation sent -no reply- next step?

Is this mortgage reporting as foreclosed and an open mortgage on the same report from two different lenders?

Re: Letter of Validation sent -no reply- next step?

yes, this 'foreclosed' loan is reporting along with my current lender. What looks so strange on the 'false' reporting that there is no  real payment history, only 'RF' shows up in March '09, nothing befoe or after.
