Ford Motor Credit: Account has a bunch of late payments (13) and states that it was turned over to collections & eventually paid off ... probably mostly accurate ... Account was suppose to be handled by ex spouse (in my name as well). Decided to dispute this account via CSC (Equifax) & was informed it would be deleted and it was. However, when I looked at Experian I saw that it was not deleted. Spoke with Experian & then Ford who informed me it would remain. Am afraid to push it because don't want it put back on other agency.

 Any advice on how to proceed or not?

They can not re-insert without notifying you in writing.

Yes, thank you. I want to pursue Ford and try to get them to give me a break and change what was reported to Experian but wanted to be sure I wouldn't mess up the luck I had with Equifax.
