I've seen many people on here with many CC with great CLs and they have 1-9% util, and good AAoA, but their FICO scores are sub 700... How can that be justified?
FICO scores are just one factor taken into account when granting credit.
Payment history is around 1/3 of the score, and that can't be magically fixed if it's got holes in it.
Old major negatives can keep scores sub-700 even with a pristine credit history since. I had a student loan default in 2008 (currently being rehab'd) and have several major lates on my CRs related to the default but have a spotless history since. Currently sitting at 691.
