NATIONWIDE CREDIT CORP-Help

Hi Everyone,

I have joined the Sleigh Center so new cards for me.  I am working on cleaning up my reports.  I have been able to receive very large credit lines and increases with AMEX, Chase and others with collections accounts on my credit reports.

Some CAs show less  collection items then others.  I started with 11 with all 3 CAs and now down to 10 on EX, which the Verizon one will go away thank goodness.  Also 2 of the collection items fall off next year  That leaves me with 7.  I have sent PFD letters and no repsonse. My other Credit reports only show 3 or 5 collections account. All accounts are with Nationwide.

I know the bills are not mines!  At this point I really don't care I want them off my credit report.

My question is this.  If I pay the amounts in full, I know they will still show up in collections but will my score bounce up since I paid the debt in full? Currently my scores are between 690- 720.

These items are scheduled to be on my report until 2010!  I rather pay and show zero balances, but if it won't help my scores then I will not pay.  I belive they are not mines and the Collection agency is not responding to me.

Thanks to everyone for their input. I will try to paste of the entries on my CA below

Re: NATIONWIDE CREDIT CORP-Help

Trying again!

How did you get rid of Verizon or is it a fall-off?

I would DV on those three accounts.

Re: NATIONWIDE CREDIT CORP-Help

Hey Lady,

I sent Verizon a goodwill letter.  They sent me a letter stating they will remove all negative information. They stated they have already sent electronic confirmation to all 3 credit agencies.

I have posted a subject called: Verizon Rocks.. I aslo included the goodwill letter that I used.  I was so happy they were willing to help me. I have started the dispute process for one agency arleady.  I will send the letter from Verizon if I need to.

I will have to see what DV means.. LOL  I am still learning all of the abbvs

Thanks for the reply

Re: NATIONWIDE CREDIT CORP-Help

they have to supply you with proof of amount owed. a copy of bill etc.  then you can deny it's yours.  if charge they need signature, etc.  hospital should be real easy to verify.
hope this helps.
