I received a letter from a lawyer with a copy of a Judgment against me. Problem is, I never received notice I was being sued, nor am I familiar with the CA. I sent a letter of DV to the lawyer as well as the CA. The lawyer responded with a copy of a form letter that was supposedly sent to me stating this was a collection for xxx company in the amount of $2500. The account I had with xxx company was for $685.
Can this copy of a form letter be considered validation of my debt?
I have not received a response from the CA as of yet. Both letters were sent CMRR, and I received proof of delivery for both. Is there anything else I can do?
