New Accounts vs Age of Credit

If I have several new accounts, store credit, car loan, charge card which have brought my average age of my credit way down, if I close these accounts will this raise my average age or do they look at open and closed accounts to determine average age of credit

closing the accounts will not fix your avg age. Avg age is open and closed accts.
