New card reports, EQ score goes up?

On my EQ credit report, I have 2 bank cards and 1 store card reported as Open and 1 store card reported as Closed.

On 10/25/12, I applied and was approved for 2 bank cards.

On 10/27/12, Scorewatch alert tells me 1 new bank card was detected and my EQ score increased by 19.

I thought that was strange. I was expecting a dip due to shorter AAOA. I wonder what will happen when the 2nd bank card reports.

Re: New card reports, EQ score goes up?

Increase was due to an improved mix of credit and/or improved util.

You don't always lower your AAoA as seen by FICO when adding an account. AAoA can remain the same.

Re: New card reports, EQ score goes up?

As mentioned, I app'd and was approved for 2 credit cards.

The 1st one resulted in EQ FICO +19.

Waiting to see the effect of the 2nd card reporting.
