Old Debt, Past SOL - Just showed up on CR

I have checked my CR's for a while and noticed there is a "new" old debt listed, which is completely past the SOL.  It was a Dayton's charge when I was married, SOL started in 1999.  However, as of yesterday it is now showing up on my report again "July 2004" stating bought/sold...will remain until 2014 - does ANYONE know how the CR's can do this or what I can do to get this bogus off my report???

I just read from someone that when your credit starts to get a little better, people come out of the woodwork...and I know this is past the SOL.  I haven't heard from anyone yet but there are two companies that recently pulled my report and I have no clue who they are...but I'm sure they are coming down the line...

Listed under a CA? If so, then DV. Always DV a CA.

Dispute it with the CRAs. Too old to report.

It's still listed as if RNB Daytons reported it...do I dispute as SOL or debt from 1999?

Stuck in meetings next few days so I'll check as often as possible.
