Old credit lines

When should a old credit line be removed from credit report? Is it seven years from the last payment ? Is it from the date opened? Is it the date last reported?

Re: Old credit lines

It usually the DOLA, but not always. Call the CRA and ask to get the actual DOFD.

Re: Old credit lines

Just to be clear, we are talking about an adverse TL, right? Because if it's a positive TL, you wanna leave it alone. It helps you.

If you have paper copies of your reports, there should be contact info on them. If you're using MyFico or a 3-in-1 like TrueCredit (which is what I use), there should be contact info on them. All else fails, use the contact info on their websites.
