I had an account with Univ of Phx a few years ago, and they messed up my financial aid and when they retracted the money told me I still owed them for the class I was already taking. I disputed with them for many months, and during that time, they sent my account to collections without any notification.
Long story short, a little over a year ago, I called Univ of Phx and paid them directly, and they said to contact to the collections dept and they would have it removed, and they haven't, still. In fact when I challenged the validity of it, Equifax changed it from paid to unpaid even though it was already paid.
How do I get it fixes, I've tried a few times to dispute it with Equifax and they continue to report it as true, and Univ of Phx has blanket stated that "We don't care, you're not a student here anymore"
