Paying off First Premier Charge Off UTI Question

First Premier is the only account I have on my credit report thats not active with a balance.

Open Date: Sept 2013

Charged Off: May 2014

Credit limit: $700

Balance: $985

My UTI apeers to be crazy high but it is not, I have a $17 Bal on my CapOne Card w/ a $500 limit, $0 on Kohls Charge.

I am listed as a AU on 2 cards Chase has $8200 Bal on a $8900 limit (Is UTI factored for AU accounts?)

RATIO OF YOUR REVOLVING BALANCES TO YOUR CREDIT LIMITS Equifax 85% TransUnion 85% Experian 36%

Re: Paying off First Premier Charge Off UTI Question

It is a revolving account with a balance, so it is properly included in your % util.

The taking of a charge-off does not relieve the consumer of the continued obligation for the debt, and closing the account only prevents the consumer from adding to an already seriously delinquent debt.  The debt balance is not removed from yur % util calculation based on either event, as it is still obligated debt.

Utilization is factored for AU accounts also.
