Post Bankruptcy How Should Things Report To The CRAs

This comes up a lot so I'll start a thread to address it.

Any accounts you include in a bankruptcy, if they were late, in collections, or charge off when you filed for BK, then those lates, collections and charge offs can be reported as such to the CRAs. However, if there are lates reported after you filed, then dispute it as inaccurate.

If you were not late, in collections, or charge off when you filed, then they cannot be listed that way. Has to be $0 balance, closed, IIB (Included In Bankruptcy). If it does not show that way, dispute it as inaccurate.
