New question about the account in the original post. If the account was updated in 2003 from a tax redirect can anyone estimate the damage it's doing to the dh's scores now, almost 4 years later?
There would be a public record on this only if they obtained a judgement. Otherwise it is listed as a collection/chargeoff and may not affect scores quite as bad as time goes by.
