You can "Opt Out" of promotional offers where your bureau reports are noted and screened accordingly. Obtained my Annual Free Credit Report this month and found the notation that I "opted out". Also, I do not receive credit solititaions or insurance offers (insurance offer is really why I did it as they were driving me crazy). Believe you could "Freeze" your credit reports and not be pre-screened too. Other posters hopefully will jump in here.
