Reinsertion of Deleted Account= 100+ Drop?

sent reinsertion letter last week and just pulled TU and Cap 1 collection "gone" FOR NOW!

The big question is did you get your hundred + points back in your score.

yup i used happydays letter.  i am so glad that they didn't have to "investigate" the dispute with Cap1 and just deleted!

good question, I was going by my TC pull that showed a score of 651.  that was about the score B4 the reinsertion. 

however, i am waiting to pull FICO until 04/02/08.  cuz i have a second Cap 1 chargeoff/collection that will drop on 04/01/08.

mymy, i feel your pain.

i had a collection deleted off my reports with the agreement of me paying it fully. it was off for a couple months and now it's back on... without EVER notifying me. my scores dropped about 30-40 points if i remember correctly.

on top of all that, i had just applied for an amex gold rewards plus card and got approved for it AFTER they reinserted the collection back into EQ. then EX reinserted the collection this morning... where Amex checks my credit!

Cap1 is good about that

Fair Isaac has continually stated that its impossible for one negative account to cause a serious drop in scoring. This is proof that one negative account CAN and WILL have this effect.

well, this account might be an exceprtion....cuz eventhough its a closed/chargeoff account it still has a HIGH BALANCE 0f 2800 with a orginal CL 0f 500...

so my UTL is very high cuz of this and one more Cap 1 chargeoff/collection account...

also, Cap 1 likes to hit me with a lot of "lates"

but i agree 100+ point drop for one account seems quite excessive...
