Removing Collection Items Paid in Full from my Credit Report

I recently paid in full, two accounts that were in "collections" and did not ask for "Payment-for-deletion" from the Collection Agency.
I was told if I paid the open accounts that were in collections from the Collection Agencies, that this would increase my score. And I have been told that my score will not go up even if I paid in full both of the open collections.
Any advice?
Is it worth calling back the Collection Agency that I paid in full and ask them to remove this item from credit report?

Hi Sammy, and welcome to the forum! Smiley Happy

Sammy, it's good that you paid back your debt. Congratulations to you for doing that.

About your only option now is to write GW(GoodWill) letters. Many here have had success with using them. Please know however, that a collection agency is under no obligation to honor such request.

Type in the search box GW letters. You will find many good examples.
